A Possible New Parkinson’s Treatment

Though the research is still in it’s early stages, there is optimism behind a diabetes drug, exenatide, known commercially as Byetta, being used to treat Parkinson’s disease. The drug is actually a synthetic version of Gila monster saliva and performed well as a treatment in a small, proof-of-concept study on Parkinson’s patients. As Paulina Anderson reports…
