Dangerous Drinking Plays a Part in 1 of Every 10 Early Deaths
Alcohol is regularly in the top five substances most commonly abused, but yet its danger is regularly underestimated by the general public. Unfortunately, that naive view of alcohol’s risks has allowed for countless deaths. So many deaths in fact, that a new study published in the June issue of Preventing Chronic Disease found that alcohol played a role in 1 out of every 10 early deaths among 20- to 64-year-olds from 2006 to 2010. MedPageToday has all the details of the study here.
